Economy vs premium vinyl

What actually separates our two vinyl grades, and how to tell which one your job needs.

Economy vinyl

Great value for flat, shorter-term jobs

  • Ideal for flat surfaces — windows, doors, flat panels and indoor signage.
  • A clean, cost-effective finish for jobs that don't need to survive years of British weather.
  • The right choice for short-term promotions, temporary graphics or anything you'll swap out within a year or two.
  • No extra UV protection, so colours will fade faster in direct sun than our premium grade.
Recommended for vehicles

Premium vinyl

Built to last, with real UV protection

  • Paired with a matching protective laminate that shields the print from UV rays, so colours stay bright instead of fading and chalking in the sun.
  • A solid grey backing means the panel or paintwork underneath can't show through — what you see in the design is what you'll see once it's fitted.
  • Special air-release channels let trapped air escape during fitting, so it goes down smoother with far fewer bubbles — especially around curves, mirrors and door handles.
  • More flexible and forgiving on tricky contours, so it fits properly on vehicles and curved surfaces instead of lifting at the edges.
  • Noticeably longer-lasting outdoors, so it's the right call for anything that needs to look sharp for years, not months.

Which one do I need?

Choose economy if...

it's going on a flat surface, staying indoors, or only needs to look good for a matter of months — a shop window graphic, an event or a promotion you'll change before too long.

Choose premium if...

it's going on a vehicle, or it needs to survive years of sun, rain and washing without fading or lifting — vehicle graphics and wraps, or any long-term outdoor signage.
