AI images are not production artwork

Great for ideas. Not ready for print, cut vinyl or vehicle graphics.

Concept? Yes. Production file? No.

Six problems hidden in a convincing image

Tap a card if you want the full story.

A smooth curve becoming visibly pixelated when enlarged Blurs when enlargedPixels are not vectors. Why?

Most AI output is a flat image made from pixels. Enlarge it for a sign or vehicle and the edges become soft, jagged or visibly pixelated.

A vinyl cutter beside an image with no usable cut path Cannot be cutCutters need clean paths. Why?

Cut vinyl needs clean, closed vector paths. AI can draw the appearance of an edge, but it does not supply a precise line for the machine to follow.

A measured circle beside a distorted oval Measurements driftShapes cannot be trusted. Why?

Circles may not be circular, repeated shapes may differ and panel ratios may be wrong. What looks plausible is not necessarily measurable.

Vehicle graphics running through a door handle and panel seam Misses vehicle detailsHandles and seams matter. Why?

AI frequently loses handles, seams, lights and wheel arches—or changes the shape of the panels. A fitting plan must account for every real feature.

A sign with spelling mistakes and repeated words Gets words wrongEvery detail needs checking. Why?

AI often produces convincing-looking nonsense, changes supplied wording and repeats elements. Every word and detail still has to be rebuilt and checked.

A layout drifting away from its measured grid Wanders off-gridSpacing and symmetry vary. Why?

Spacing, baselines, symmetry and repeated elements drift. A design for manufacture needs deliberate alignment—not an approximation of it.

A real production job

Every line has to fit the van.

The hardware stays exactly where the manufacturer put it.

  • 2 handles
  • Sliding rail
  • Door seams
  • Wheel arch

The cost

If it has to be redrawn, it has to be budgeted.

We quote for rebuilding before design begins.
